Universal Orlando Deals - How to Find Cheap Tickets
People save for years to take their family on an Orlando vacation. While Disney has always been popular, Universal Studios has become a destination resort of its own within the past few years, and offers significant savings over the Disney parks.
No matter which way you look at it, theme park tickets are expensive. Whichever amusement park you choose to visit, you're going to shell out big bucks for your tickets. But let's break it down. Disney and Universal tickets cost about $70 for a one day, one park ticket. On average, the park's are open from 10 am to around 9 pm. That's 11 hours of world class fun for $70, or just over $6 an hour. When you look at it that way, it's not such a bad deal after all.
The real Universal Orlando deals come in the form of multi-day passes. The best deal in town is the 7 day unlimited admission ticket for only $99! This includes admission to Wet and Wild Water Park, in addition to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Considering a Disney park hopper pass costs several hundred dollars, this deal is pretty fantastic. The catch? You have to buy the ticket online, and it must be ordered at least two days in advance of your visit.
Want an even better deal? Consider the Orlando flex pass. For $234, you get unlimited admission for 14 straight days to Universal, Islands or Adventure, Wet and Wild, Sea World, and the brand new Sea World Waterpark, Aquatica. For $279, you can include Busch Gardens Tampa in the package.
Of course, free tickets are even better, so check out some of the bargains at Universal's own website before you make your purchase. The website almost always offers a deal that includes free theme park tickets if you stay for three nights at one of Universal's partner hotels. There are some great deals here, many within walking distance of the parks.
